Co.As.It.'s Youth and Family worker offers casework, group work and community development service to assist mainstream services to cater effectively for young Italian-Australian adolescents and their families by identifying gaps in services, on behalf of the target group.
The worker provides culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate support services to Italian-Australian youth in crisis and assistance in the development of coping mechanism and the building of their own resource base.
The youth and family worker works with families to assist in conflict resolution and increase parents/guardians awareness of the developmental process of children and adolescents.
