Giuliana is the true story of an inspiring immigrant. This book transports the reader in an instant to many different places through the eyes of a simple woman recalling personal experiences and images. It begins with vivid childhood memories in Recoaro Italy during the 1930s and spans to the present day. Some inexplicable spiritual incidents that occur through life's journey are also documented.

Giuliana boarded a ship in Italy in 1957 and made the long journey to Australia at the age of 24 to meet the husband she married by proxy, a man she had met only once at her Grandparents' house. He left Italy for a new life in Australia two days after meeting her. They communicated through love letters. But the relationship was not what she had hoped for when she arrived in Australia to meet him after four years. And so her life story unfolded with experiences, relationships, children, accomplishments and disappointments all told through her eyes. She started several business ventures including a Nursery and Restaurant, a Tobacco Plantation and a Gold Mine.

Giuliana is an award-winning Salami maker, Poet and wine maker and well-known to the Italian community. Giuliana is well-known for her delicious authentic recipes and she shares 40 of her best in this unique book. It is a cook book full of love encompassing a woman's life.

Giuliana delves into various relationships seen through the eyes of a child and sibling, from friend to lover, from woman to mother. This is all beautifully narrated and a joy to read.
