Italian Food is not all about Pizza and Pasta. This year at the Norton Street Italian Festa we aim to highlight other parts of Italian cuisine through the following events.
Nonni in Cucina
Located outside the Leichhardt Town Hall.
Hosted by Joanna Savill, Food Journalist, five different "Nonni" will demonstrate the preparation process of one of their favourite regional recipes. This year Nonni in Cucina will feature a new segment - "il cuoco e lo chef". It will be a cook off between one of the Nonni and Italian-Australian Chef Danny Russo.

Located outside All Souls Anglican Church on the cnr of Norton and Marion StreetSlow Food is all about encouraging enjoyment and sharing of taste, good, clean, fair food. It is about taking time to do things slowly because this is the proper way and the results are always the best.

The competition will be judged in the "Nonni in Cucina" Kitchen with Chef Danny Russo from the Beresford Hotel in conjunction with Joanna Savill, Slow Food Sydney
