We had a BALL - Italian Style!

The 2008 Italian National Ball celebrated Co.As.It.'s 40^th birthday

On May 24 Co.As.It celebrated 40 years with style and grace amongst family, friends, sponsors, supporters and representatives of both the Italian and Australian government representatives.

The Italian National Ball formed part of the Sydney Italian Festival and is under the auspices of the Italian Consulate General.

The Parkside Ballroom at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre was converted into a symphony of ruby. A string ensemble set the mood as MC Joanna Savill, food journalist, seamlessly guided the proceedings and fundraising initiative.

We celebrated Italian style - with good food, fine wine and dancing. The menu was designed by acclaimed Italian chefs Danny Russo of the new Beresford Hotel and Alessandro Pavoni of the Park Hyatt.

$20,000 was raised from the fundraising efforts of the Ball with all proceeds going towards the building of new premises for the Italian Bilingual School, Co.As.It.'s own independent and co-educational primary school.
