Journey to a new life - Italian Heritage in NSW
A photographic exhibition that tells the story of Italian migration to NSW
since the late 1800s.
Between 1876 and 1976 over 26 million Italians emigrated to countries far and wide throughout the world.
In the postwar period 360,000 Italians arrived in Australia.
This photographic exhibition consisting of over 80 B&W historical images is an emotional tribute to the courage and sacrifices made by those Italians who left behind their beloved Italy to start their 'Journey to a New Life' in NSW.
