Vaping and Smoking

Like cigarettes, E-cigarettes (vapes) contain harmful chemicals and toxins such as formaldehyde and heavy metals. The majority of e-cigarettes contain nicotine, a highly addictive substance.

Young people and adults alike can, and often do become dependent on nicotine, even if they started vaping socially or to help quit smoking.

  • Increase nicotine dependence and addiction
  • Make it difficult to concentrate without vaping
  • Cause cravings, irritability, and anxiety when you stop
  • Affect lung health and breathing
  • Impact sleep, mood, and overall wellbeing
  • Be expensive over time
  • Vape shortly after waking up
  • Feel cravings throughout the day
  • Find it difficult to get through school, work, or social activities without vaping
  • Continue vaping despite wanting to stop
  • Have tried quitting but returned to vaping
  • Feel irritable, restless, or anxious when you don’t vape
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Reduced cravings over time
  • Better breathing and fitness
  • More energy
  • Improved sleep
  • Feeling more in control of their health
  • Saving money

We are dedicated to confidentiality, inclusivity, and welcome individuals from all cultural backgrounds.
